
Klusman Named SAAC Athlete of the Month

Junior outside hitter Katie Klusman of the Wright State volleyball team has been selected as the Wright State Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's Athlete of the Month, it was announced at their monthly meeting Thursday.
Klusman (Cincinnati, OH/Mother of Mercy) was named the Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week on October 3 after she hit .325 (31/6/77) in two home matches with 21 digs. In a 3-1 setback to Oakland on September 30, she hit .289 and posted a double-double of 17 kills and 12 digs, her fifth double-double of the season.
In a 3-0 sweep of Youngstown State on October 1, Klusman hit .375 and narrowly missed recording her second straight double-double as she had 14 kills and nine digs.
Klusman also posted a double-double of 10 kills and 10 digs against Murray State, hit .413 with 23 kills versus Tennessee State and had a double-double of 13 kills and 13 digs at UIC…
On the season, Klusman is third in the Horizon League in kills per set at 3.62. She leads the Raiders in kills (210) and is second in digs (147).
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee holds a monthly meeting of Wright State team captains from all 16 sports along with athletic administration to discuss issues and concerns.
