Men's Basketball Hosts Murray State

The Wright State men's basketball team comes back to the Wright State Nutter Center for the home opener against Murray State Saturday at 7 pm.
Wright State
The Raiders are currently 0-2 but the total of both losses was just 10 points. Three Raiders average in double figures led by junior Mark Hughes at 14.5 points per game and Grant Benzinger at 13.0. Everett Winchester was named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week last week as he had 15 points and three rebounds at the season opener at Loyola. Freshman Loudon Love posted his first double-double at Miami with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Benzinger needs just 22 points to reach 1,000.
Murray State
The Racers are currently 1-1 with a 118-61 win over Brescia to open the season at home and a 72-67 loss to Middle Tennessee State Monday night. Against MTSU, Murray State led 44-42 at half. Ja Morant led the Racers with 16 points, shooting 9-9 from the line, and five assists. Jonathan Stark pitched in 14 points as Terrell Miller Jr. added 11 points and eight rebounds.
The Series
The Raiders hold a 4-0 series record against the Racers, including a 77-62 win in Murray, KTY on Dec. 22, 2016. MSU led 36-30 at half but the Raiders shot 52% from the field in the second half and held Murray State to a 29% shooting average.
