Women's Soccer Hosts St. Bonaventure and Travels to #6 West Virginia

The Wright State women's soccer team will host St. Bonaventure Thursday night at 7 pm before hitting the road to play at #6 West Virginia Monday at 6 pm.
Wright State
WSU is 2-2 on the young season. After falling 1-0 to Western Michigan last Thursday in double overtime, the Raiders bounced back to win at Miami (OH) Sunday 2-1. In the win over the RedHawks, senior Niki Romero scored her second goal of the season while Kayla Schrubb collected her first goal as a Raider. Miranda Thomas and Maddie Jewell teamed up for the shutout Sunday.
St. Bonaventure
The Bonnies are 0-4 with losses to Binghamton, Youngstown State, Niagara and Kent State, being outscored 9-1. St. Bonaventure was picked to finish last in the Atlantic 10 this year after going 4-14-1 in 2016. Sophomore defender Maddie Mason has played the most minutes on the team – 330, one ahead of Sydney Cassagnol's 329. Sophomore keeper Lauren Malcolm has played every second of the past two seasons – over 2,100 minutes in net.
West Virginia
WVU, ranked sixth nationally, is currently 2-1, including a 1-0 win over #5 Georgetown and 3-0 over Duquesne with a 2-1 overtime loss to #10 Virginia. The Mountaineers play highly-ranked Penn State Friday night before the Raiders come to town. A balanced offense features five players with one goal each as Bianca St. Georges leads with one goal and two assists. Rylee Foster has played the goal for every minute with a goals against average of 0.63. The game can be seen live at wvusports.com.

The Raiders and the Bonnies have never met. West Virginia won the only other meeting between the two schools. The 4-1 decision in 2013.
