Women's Soccer Heads to Green Bay Saturday Evening

Wright State women's soccer jumps on the road to Green Bay to play an 8:00 pm match Saturday evening.
Wright State
WSU moved to 6-4, 1-0 on the season after decisive home victories over Youngstown State and Capital University. The Raiders started conference play with a 4-0 win over Youngstown State on Friday night and followed that up with a 5-0 non-conference victory over Capital University on Sunday evening. Senior Sarah Colvin paced the Raiders last week with one goal and five assists, moving her team leading goal total to four on the season. Sophomore Maddie Jewell posted her third shutout of the season against Youngstown State, moving her goals against average to 0.79 as she has allowed only five goals in 570 minutes of play. Jewell and freshmen Miranda Thomas combined for the shutout against Capital.
Green Bay
Green Bay is now 2-6, 1-0 on the season with both victories coming in their last two games, both home matches against Chicago State and conference foe Oakland University. The conference victory matches the win total by the Phoenix in 2016. The Phoenix attack is led by redshirt sophomore midfielder Carli Vogel with two goals. Kendra Wolfgram, Alex Zeller and Kennedy Bilse have all scored a single goal as well this season. Junior goalkeeper Kelly Kent has played all 180 minutes for the Phoenix victories giving up one goal with one save against Chicago State and making two saves in the shutout over Oakland.

WSU holds a 16-6-4 lead in the series and has posted an 8-1-1 record against the Phoenix over the last 10 years including a 5-1 victory last season at Alumni Field with goals scored by Sarah Colvin (2), Jordyne Helinski, Kaeli Studabaker and Ellie Ganz.
