Raiders cruise to convincing win Tuesday night

The 19th ranked Wright State Raiders men's soccer team was back in action Tuesday night as the West Virginia Mountaineers of the Mid-American Conference were visiting Alumni Field. The match was dominated from start to finish by Wright State, asserting their dominance on the offensive side of the ball.
First Half
The green and gold did not wait long to open the scoring in Tuesday's match, with Stefan Rokvic netting his eighth goal of the season in the 10th minute of the match. The Raiders controlled the vast majority of possession in the first half, earning a 7-3 shot advantage before the half was over. Wright State was not done scoring in the half, however, as Linden Eberle netted his first collegiate goal in the 38th minute to give the Raiders a 2-0 lead headed to the locker room.
Second Half
The Mountaineers began to pull closer to Wright State in the shots category as the second half wore on, but Joel Sundell was equal to the challenge, and kept West Virginia off of the scoreboard throughout the match. Rokvic netted his second of the match in the 86th minute to cement the victory for the Raiders.
Up Next
The Raiders (9-1-2, 3-0-1 Horizon League) return to Horizon League competition this weekend when it visits the Golden Grizzlies of Oakland University on Saturday. The match is scheduled to kick-off at 3:00 pm, and will be carried live on ESPN+.
