@WSU_MBB Welcomes Racers Thursday

The Wright State men's basketball team will take a break from exam week to host Northwestern Ohio Thursday night at the WSU Nutter Center. Game time is 7:00 PM. Fans can listen to the action with Chris Collins and Jim Brown on the Big 106.5 FM and the iHeart Radio app as well as watch on ESPN+.

Wright State
The Raiders, 4-6 overall, will play four of its next five at home. WSU is coming off two losses to Mid-American Conference teams, 65-62 to Miami and 83-76 at Kent State. Bill Wampler leads WSU at 14.8 points while Loudon Love averages nearly a double-double with 14.2 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. Junior Cole Gentry, who had 19 points at KSU, averages 13.3 points. The teams have never met before.
Wampler, Love and Gentry are currently ranked ninth, 14th and 19th in the Horizon League scoring race. Love is third in rebounding while the team leads in defensive rebounding.
Northwestern Ohio
The Racers are currently 4-9 overall but have won two of the last three games, losing at Mount Vernon Nazarene Tuesday 92-69 on Monday. Two Racers average in double-figure scoring, led by freshman Zach Montes at 16.4 and sophomore Nathan Lessing at 15.2 points per game. Montes led the way against MVNU with 15 points as the team shot over 48% from the field. In the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference, UNOH is 1-5.
Northwestern Ohio was picked to finish 10th in the 11-team WHAC while Indiana Tech was tabbed to win it. UNOH lost all-conference player Sadeeq Bello to graduation a year ago.
Next Up
The Raiders will next be in action Tuesday, December 18 as they host Morehead State at 7 pm.
