@WSU_MBB Host Local Rival Miami

The Wright State men's basketball team will host a long-time local rival as they welcome Miami to the Nutter Center Wednesday night at 7:00 PM. The game will air on Big 106.5 FM and the iHeart App as well as ESPN3 with Chris Collins and Jim Brown.
Wright State
The Raiders are 4-4 after a close loss at Indiana State last Saturday 69-63. Four Raiders average in double-figure scoring with Bill Wampler and Loudon Love just above 15.0 points per game. Cole Gentry has a 13.4 average while Mark Hughes sits at 10.1 per contest. Love has grabbed 10.1 rebounds per game while collecting five double-doubles. Skyelar Potter comes off the bench for 6.8 points and 6.3 rebounds.
Miami leads the overall series 20-13 after winning last year in Oxford 73-67. WSU won two years ago at the Nutter Center 89-87. The home team has won the last five meetings.

The RedHawks are also 4-4 overall, coming off a home win over Wilberforce last Saturday 88-57. Miami also claims wins over Midway (KY), North Dakota State and Army. MU has been led by Nick Sibande at 16.9 points and Dalonte Brown at 15.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game as they average 78.4 points as a team last year.
Miami was picked to finish second in the Mid-American Conference East Division behind favorite Buffalo. No players were chosen to preseason teams while Sibande and Brown were each selected to the All-Freshman Team.

Prior to the game, the Raiders will honor long-time public address announcer, supporter and friend Gordie Wise for his many years of service to Wright State and Wright State Athletics.
Next Up
The Raiders' next opponent will be another MAC team as they travel to Kent State for a 4 pm game Saturday afternoon. WSU will come home to host Northwestern Ohio next Wednesday.
