@WSU_MBB Heads to MAC Foe Kent State Saturday

The Wright State men's basketball team will play another Mid-American Conference opponent Saturday as the travel to Kent State Saturday for a 4:00 PM game. Fans can listen to Big 106.5 FM with Chris Collins and Jim Brown or watch on ESPN+.
Wright State
The Raiders, 4-5, are coming off a last second loss to Miami 65-62 at home last Wednesday night. Skyelar Potter and Bill Wampler led Wright State with 17 points each. Overall, Wampler tops the Raiders with 15.4 points per game with Loudon Love at a nearly double-double at 14.2 points and 9.4 rebounds. Point guard Cole Gentry averaged 12.7 points. WSU has dropped the last two games and four of the last five in a tough stretch of games against Penn State, SMU, Indiana State and Miami.Â
Wright State leads the overall series 3-2 after winning last year 63-54 in Dayton and 68-63 at KSU two years ago. In last year's win, WSU had four of their seven players score in double figures.
Kent State
The Golden Flashes, 7-1, have won five straight with their only loss coming Nov. 16 to Liberty. KSU defeated Horizon League foes Cleveland State 83-79 and Detroit Mercy 76-72 this year. They are coming off a 78-67 win over Norfolk State last Saturday. Four Flashes average in double-figures, led by Jaylin Walker at 24.3 but has played in only three games with 36 points against the Titans. Jalen Avery sits at 15.3 points per game.
KSU, 17-17 and 9-9 in the MAC last year, was chosen to finish third in the East Division of the MAC behind Buffalo and Miami while Walker was selected to the East Division preseason team.
Next Up
The Raiders come home to host Northwestern Ohio Dec. 13 and Morehead State Dec. 18. Both games are at 7:00 PM.
