
Golf Opens Spring Slate

The Wright State golf team will open its spring slate at the Cape Fear National Intercollegiate in Leland, NC Sunday and Monday.
The Raiders were picked to finish third in the Horizon League, according to a coaches poll released by league officials.
WSU was picked third behind Oakland and Cleveland State and followed by Northern Kentucky, IUPUI, Youngstown State, Detroit and Green Bay.

Where: Cape Fear National golf course - Leland, N.C. (Completed in 2009 and was immediately recognized as one of the top courses in North Carolina. The stunning layout winds through heavily undulating land and features several bridges that meander through wetlands. Native grass and wildflowers add to the natural beauty of the course.)
Who:Â Appalachian State, Hampton, Jacksonville State, La Salle, Liberty, Loyola (Chicago), North Carolina A&T, North Carolina Central, Robert Morris, South Carolina Beaufort, Tusculum College, UT Arlington, VCU, Wright State
When:Â Sun-Mon, March 11-12. Two rounds (36 holes) on Sunday. One round (18 holes) on Monday.
What:Â Par 72 course that plays 7,217 yards. Course designed by Tim Cate. Five players compete for each team, with the low four scores counted each round.
