Hollenbeck and Raiders have historical Sunday on the course

DAYTON – Timmy Hollenbeck and the Raider golf team each made new entries into the record book on Sunday at the Wright State Invitational presented by Joe's Landscaping, with Hollenbeck's first round 61 the new lowest round in program history, while the Raiders' first round 267 team score was also a new school record. Hollenbeck's round of 61 also became the new lowest round in course history at Heatherwoode Golf Club.

Monday's final round gets underway at 9 a.m. from Heatherwoode Golf Club. Wright State will get underway from holes one and two while the Raider individuals will tee off from holes 17 and 18.

With 18 holes remaining on Monday, Wright State sits atop the leaderboard by a wide margin at 24-under, well ahead of second-place Indian Hills Community College (nine-under), with the top-ranked junior college the only other team under par through 36 holes.

Hollenbeck followed up his opening round 61 with a second even par 71 to sit at 10-under with a four-shot lead over teammate Jonas Borland, who is in second individually at six-under. A trio of Raiders – Adam Horn, Shane Ochs and CJ Scohy – are all tied for sixth at two-under entering Monday.

Borland opened with a four-under 67 in his morning round before following that with a two-under second round 69. Horn carded a two-under first round 69 with an even par 71 in his second round, with Ochs notching the opposite card, with an even par 71 in the morning before a second round 69. Scohy bounced back from an opening round three-over 74 with his five-under second round 66.

Ian Asch is 12th at one-under with 18 holes remaining, opening with a two-under 69 before an afternoon one-over 72. Jake Wittenauer is one-over in 17th following an even par 71 and a one-over 72, while Landon Harris sits in 21st at two-over after an opening round three-under 68 and a second round five-over 76. Jake Ward (25th, three-under) notched a morning one-under 70 and followed that with a four-over 75, with Kye Fisher (50th, eight-over) turning in a six-over first round 77 and a second round two-over 73.

Asch, Harris, Hollenbeck, Horn, Ochs and Scohy are all playing as Wright State's countable players, with Borland, Fisher, Wittenauer and Ward competing as individuals.
