
Raiders host NKU and IUPUI in second week of Horizon play

The Wright State volleyball team looks to extend its 13-game winning streak this weekend at home against Northern Kentucky and IUPUI inside McLin Gym. The Raiders opened Horizon League action last weekend, starting conference play 2-0 after a pair of three set sweeps over Oakland and Youngstown State. Wright State takes on Northern Kentucky at 6 p.m. on Friday night before a 4 p.m. matchup with IUPUI on Saturday afternoon.
Wright State is holding opponents to a .131 hitting percentage this season, allowing only an 11.7 kills per set average. The strong Raider defense is averaging 19.06 digs per set and is putting up a wall at the net, knocking down 32 solo blocks for the season and averaging 2.6 blocks per set. The 19.06 digs per set mark is fourth nationally heading into this weekend's action, while Jenna Story continues to lead the country in total digs with 319 and with her 6.38 digs per set average.
The Raiders are one of 12 teams nationally with one loss on the season, a list that also includes fellow Horizon League member Milwaukee (15-1 overall), while 12-0 Baylor is the last undefeated team in the country entering play this weekend.

- The Norse are No. 30 in the nation when it comes to opponent hitting percentage, as NKU has held its opponents to a .170 clip.
- Anna Brinkmann and Laura Crawford rank seventh and eighth in the Horizon League in kills per set, while Miranda Wucherer and Ashton Terrill are second and third in aces per set.
- Bailey Western is NKU's top blocker, averaging 1.15 per set. Terrill averages 4.51 digs per set.
IUPUI
- IUPUI finished non-conference play 4-9Â and is currently 2-0 in HL after beating Cleveland State and Oakland last weekend.
- McKayla Wright has the highest kills per set on the team with a 3.21 average and has a hitting percentage of .206. Haley Hoffman leads the team with .259 hitting percentage and is averaging 1.67 kills per set.
- Hannah Oehlberg ranks second on the team having 2.67 kills per set and also holds second in digs per set with 3.03. Rachel Hickey holds first on the team with 4.35 digs per set.
- Junior Rebecca Schlechte is guiding the offense with 6.83 assists per set and Regan Trueblood, freshman, follows with 4.03 assists per set.
