Raiders set for NCAA Regional Friday

The Wright State men's and women's cross country teams are set to run in the 2019 NCAA Great Lakes Regional, which will take place on Friday, Nov. 15 at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course in Madison, Wisconsin.

The race, hosted by Wisconsin, will have the women running a 6k distance and the men running a 10k distance. Women are scheduled to run at 12:30 p.m. ET and men are scheduled to run at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Last year, in the women's 6k race, which featured 225 runners from 32 schools, the Raiders placed 18th overall in team score and had three runners in the top 100. Shelby Nolan paced the Raider women, finishing 66th with her time of 22:00.0. In a field of 31 schools and 205 runners, the men placed 23rd overall and had one top-60 runner at the 10k distance – Nathan Dunn, who finished 60th with his 32:22.4 time.

The top-two teams in each of nine regional races will qualify for the NCAA Championship on Nov. 23 in Terre Haute, Indiana. An additional 13 teams and 36 individuals will be selected to complete the national championship field.

Parking
There is no spectator parking at the cross country course or University Ridge. Spectator parking will be located at Blackhawk Church in Middleton, Wisconsin. Spectator shuttles are available to transport spectators for $5 round trip. Accessible shuttles will be available. The shuttle service will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude one hour after the final race has finished. The shuttle will pick up and drop off at the upper level of the parking structure at Blackhawk Church.
