
Wright State welcomes CSU Bakersfield

The Wright State women's basketball is back in the Nutter Center for the second game of their 2019-20 campaign Tuesday night as the Raiders welcome the Cal State (CSU) Bakersfield Roadrunners for a 7 p.m. tipoff.

The Raiders are coming off a 64-83 loss to Abilene Christian inside the Nutter Center Friday Night. Wright State players finished the night with double digit scoring efforts but that wasn't enough to hold off Abilene Christian. Angel Baker and Michal Miller both contributed 12 points each, while Jada Roberson provided 9 points for the Raiders. Tyler Frierson led the team in total rebounds with nine while Shamarre Hale wasn't far behind with eight total.
Despite only shooting 28 percent from the field but when they headed to the free throw line, the Raiders finished the night shooting 67 percent. Wright State out rebounded Abilene Christian 54 to 45. The Raiders also forced the Wildcats to produced 20 turnovers and recorded 19 points from those such opportunities.
ROADRUNNERS
Tuesday's meeting marks just the second time in program history that these two programs have met on the hardwood and the Roadrunners first trip to the Nutter Center. Last season, the Raiders traveled to face CSU on their home court ultimately falling 76-74 to the hosts.
CSU Bakersfield finished their 2018-19 campaign with an overall recorded of 14-17 and 9-7 in the Western Athletic Conference.
FANSGIVING
Wright State Women's and Men's Basketball are holding the second annual Fansgiving on Tuesday, November 19 and Wednesday, November 20. Any fan who brings a canned food item to the box office, will receive one free ticket to that evenings contest.
