
Raiders set to host UIC on Senior Night

The Wright State volleyball team returns home on Friday night for the final time in the 2019 regular season as UIC visits McLin Gym for a 6 p.m. Horizon League contest. Prior to the start of the match, the Raiders will honor Hannah Colvin and Taylor Gibson on Senior Night.Â
The Raiders are coming off of a five-set midweek win at Cleveland State on Wednesday night, and return to McLin Gym on Friday - a place where they are 10-0 this season, and 7-0 in Horizon League action. After Wednesday's victory, Wright State is now 10-3 in conference play and a half-game back of HL leader Milwaukee (10-2) and just ahead of Green Bay (9-3). Following Friday's match, the Raiders close the regular season with a weekend road trip against Youngstown State and Oakland on November 15 and 16.
Sophomore Jenna Story set the Wright State single-season digs record with 614 for the season, surpassing the previous mark of 566 by Traci McCoy in 1987, and is third in the country in total digs and leads the nation with her 6.60 digs per set average.
UIC
- The Flames are 8-4 in conference play and 19-7 overall. Currently the team is ranked fourth in the HL standings.
- The team is ranked first in the HL for blocks, averaging 2.55 per set and are also ranked second in kills behind Milwaukee.
- Michelle Glover ranks second in blocks as she is averaging 1.30 per set, while her overall hitting percentage of .303 also ranks her second. Glover also marks the highest number of kills on her team at 220 for the season.
- Velina Minkova holds the highest number of digs for the teams as she has contributed 393 this season.
- The Flames defeated the Raiders last match up 3-1.
