2/10/2019 12:52:00 PM | Women's Tennis
The Wright State women's tennis team finished off their weekend with a win at home against the Saint Francis Saints. On Sunday morning, the Raiders rebounded against the Saints with a 5-2 victory. With the win, the Raiders improved their team record to 3-2 this season.Â
Raider Head Coach Eric Burns had this to say about the Raiders' win on Sunday morning, "This is a good rebound from our tough day yesterday at Toledo. Saint Francis, despite their record, is a great team and really battled hard. It was good that we were able to withstand their rally and finish it off".Â
In doubles, first pairing Luisa Pelayo and Grace Whitney moved to 4-1 on the season with their 6-2 win against Laura Gutierrez and Stephanie Miller today. Madison Riley and Haily Morgan are still maintaining a perfect record this season. With their 6-0 win against Lucia Seigford and Raksha Bode, Riley and Morgan move to 5-0 on the season.Â
In singles competition, Jillian Milano improved her season record to 4-1 with a 6-2, 6-2 win. Luisa Pelayo, Madison Riley, and Grace Whitney also added points for the Raiders with their wins this morning.Â
