@WSU_WTennis Begin Weekend at Toledo

The Wright State women's tennis team will open their weekend on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Toledo to take on the Rockets. Matches against Toledo will start at 1:00pm at Twos Athletic Club. On Sunday, the Raiders will return home to play against Saint Francis at the South Regency Tennis and Fitness Center with play beginning at 7:00pm.Â
Wright State
The Raiders (2-1) began their season with a 7-0 win against Chicago State before falling 2-5 against Marshall. The Raiders rebounded in their next match by winning 7-0 against West Virginia State. On the season, the Raiders have gone a combined 8-1 in doubles and 13-5 in singles matches.Â
Toledo
The Rockets (2-1) are coming off an 0-7 loss to Cincinnati last weekend. On the season, the Rockets possess wins against Valparaiso and Saint Francis. Last season, Toledo secured a close 4-3 victory over Wright State in Dayton on Feb. 17. Wright State went 2-1 in doubles but fell after losing four of six matchups in singles play. Before playing against Wright State on Saturday, the Rockets will face another Horizon League foe in Cleveland State on Friday night.Â
Saint Francis
The Red Storm (1-5) are entering the weekend coming off a 2-5 loss against Horizon League opponent Detroit Mercy. The Red Storm's sole win on the season came against Morgan State on January 20th. Before their matchup against Wright State on Sunday, the Red Storm will play at Dayton on Friday night before hitting the road against Horizon League team Northern Kentucky on Saturday afternoon.Â
