In their second match of the weekend, the Wright State men's tennis team fell 2-5 to the UIC Flames on Sunday afternoon. The loss moves the Raiders' record to 7-14 and 0-3 in the conference. The Flames improved their record to 3-11 and begin their conference slate at 2-0.

On the doubles courts, the Flames took the lead with wins on Courts One and Three coming against Param Pun and Lorenzo Maccarini as well as Carlos Estrada Sanchez.

In singles competition, the Raiders received victories from Lorenzo Maccarini on Court Three and Javier Alavarez de la Villa on Court Four. Maccarini won in three sets after falling behind in the first. Maccarini was able to take the second 6-3 and then win the match 7-6 in the third to take home a point for the Raiders. On Court Four, Javier Alvarez de la Villa won in three sets agisnt Kailash Panchapakesan by scores of 3-6, 7-6, and 11-9.

Up Next
The Raiders will hit the road for the their next two matches, beginning with Marquette on Friday and Horizon League for Green Bay on Saturday.
