Wright State (6-9) struggled against Middle Tennessee on Wednesday, getting shutout 0-3 and 0-8 in a chilly doubleheader. Rebekah Lenos had three of the five Raider hits between the two games, and now boasts an impressive batting average of .440. Her offensive production and speed has landed her in the lead-off spot in the WSU lineup in recent games.

Game 1

Middle Tennessee shut down Wright State in game one. The Blue Raiders were led by starter Corrina Dodd, who pitched a complete game shutout in her sixth win of the season. WSU put a lead-off runner on base three times, but couldn't bring any runs home to score. Rebekah Lenos and Madison Whitaker went 2 for 3, combining for all four Raider hits.

Makenna Durieux (1-3) pitched well for Wright State, despite taking the loss. She threw all six innings for the Raiders, allowing three runs on six hits, and relied on the ground ball for the majority of her recorded outs. Middle Tennessee jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the second inning, and added an insurance run in the sixth. Ryan King led the offensive efforts for the Blue Raiders, going 2 for 3 at the plate and recording an RBI double in the 2^nd.

Game 2

The Blue Raiders once again frustrated the offense of Wright State. Rebekah Lenos recorded the lone hit, as Middle Tennessee starter Kailey Ahlstrom threw a complete game one-hitter over five innings. The Raiders held Middle Tennessee to two runs through three innings until the Blue Raiders scored three runs in the fourth and three more in the fifth to complete the game by run rule. MTSU scored their eight runs on eleven hits.

Wright State has been shutout in their last three appearances, after dropping the game against Gardner-Webb on Monday 0-7. The Raiders will open the Kennesaw State Tournament with a date against the Saint Louis Bilikens on Friday at 4:30 PM.
