
Wright State set to face Northern Kentucky Friday

The Wright State women's basketball team will take the short trip down I-75 S and look to return to the win column as the Raiders face off against NKU on Friday evening. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. from BB&T Arena.

The Raiders are looking to bounce back after a 60-80 loss on the road against IUPUI Saturday afternoon in Indianapolis. A two-point game after the first quarter, IUPUI extended the advantage to eight at halftime and outscored the Raiders by 12 over the final two periods to come away with the win. Wright State is now 9-8 overall and 4-2 in Horizon League play, while IUPUI improved to 11-6 and 5-1 in conference action.
Three Raiders finished in double figures scoring, led by Shamarre Hale's 13 points, while Angel Baker and Michal Miller each finished with 12 points. Tyler Frierson added seven points, Alexis Stover had six, Jalise Beck tallied four points and both Jada Roberson and Anisja Harris finished with three points.
With the loss, Wright State fell to 9-8 overall and 4-2 in Horizon League play while IUPUI improved to 11-6 overall and 5-1 in HL action.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- Camryn Whitaker enters her fourth season at the helm of the NKU women's basketball program. Whitaker has been a part of four consecutive coaching staffs that have made NCAA Tournament appearances, including trips to the Elite Eight and Sweet Sixteen in the last two seasons.
- Since entering Horizon League play, the Norse find themselves among the top of the league in several statistical categories. NKU has been crashing the boards hard through five games, ranking third with a +3.6 rebounding margin. The Norse have also been taking care of the ball well, surrendering just 13.2 turnovers per game, the fourth-fewest in the league.
- NKU opened their 2019-20 on the road against Eastern Kentucky University, where they were handed a 69-62 loss. The Norse's schedule also includes a victory against Florida International University in the FIU Tournament and a loss against No. 2 Louisville. NKU is currently 9-8 overall and 3-3 in HL play as they defeated UIC on the road, 88-46 on Saturday.
