The Wright State softball team dropped its second contest of UT Martin's Huddle House Classic, falling to tournament hosts 3-0 Saturday afternoon in Martin, Tennessee.

UT Martin took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, as Emily Alexander got the action going for the Skyhawks singling through the left side before stealing second. Shyanne Sheffield's RBI single through the left side advanced the runners and brought home Alexander.

After a scoreless second inning for both squads, the Skyhawks scored two runs in the bottom of the third inning led by a single and a fielding error by the Raiders, set up a two run RBI by Kenna Garst to give UT Martin a 3-0 lead.

The Raiders would look to answer in the top of the sixth inning by way of a Rebekah Lenos single down the left field line, followed by a Brianna Hutchinson double but ultimately that was not enough.

UT Martin's three runs came on eight hits to Wright State's three but the Raiders four errors made the difference.

Olivia Otani recorded the loss for the Raiders after allowing three runs off of six hits in 3.0 innings pitched. Lauren Deitrick saw 3.0 innings in the circle, allowing two hits and recording two strikeouts for Wright State.

The Raiders are back in action for the final day of the Huddle House Classic as they face off against Purdue Fort Wayne for the second time, first pitch is scheduled for 9 a.m.
