Volleyball set for three home matches this weekend; Senior Day on Sunday

DAYTON -Â The Wright State volleyball team wraps up its regular season home schedule this weekend with three matches inside McLin Gymnasium, beginning Thursday night against UIC before matches against Milwaukee on Friday and a Sunday afternoon tilt with Green Bay.Â
Fans can follow the action via live stats for all matches, while the Friday and Sunday matches will also be on ESPN+.
Wright State will honor five players prior to Sunday's match against Green Bay - fifth-year seniors Nyssa Baker, Celia Powers and Teddie Sauer, along with seniors Grace Hauck and Ellee Ruskaup.Â

Wright State turned in one of its best efforts of the season on Friday night with a five-set road victory over Northern Kentucky. Wright State finished with 76 kills in the win, including 16 or more in each of the first four sets before eight kills in the deciding fifth set. Callie Martin had an incredible night, finishing with a double-double after recording a match-high 23 kills and adding 14 digs. Three other Raiders also tallied double-digit kills, as Megan Alders recorded 16 and Nyssa Baker had 11, while Sam Ott come into the match late and added 10 kills of her own over the final two sets.

UIC is 12-10 overall with an 8-2 mark in the Horizon League to date, with the Flames currently riding a four match winning streak. UIC has been good at home (7-1 record) but is a combined 5-9 in away and neutral site matches. UIC's Paola Santiago was named the Horizon League Player of the Week for the second consecutive week on Wednesday.
Milwaukee is 18-6 overall and remains undefeated at 12-0 in Horizon League play. The Panthers have been equally as impressive away from home, with a 7-3 home record and a combined 11-3 mark in away and neutral site matches. Milwaukee's Carmen Heilemann was named the other Horizon League Player of the Week on Wednesday afternoon.
Green Bay begins the weekend at 11-13 overall with a 6-6 Horizon League record. Only 4-7 at home, the Phoenix had a combined 7-6 mark in away and neutral site matches.Â
