Men's Soccer makes short trip to take on Fort Wayne Saturday night

DAYTON – The Wright State men's soccer team is set for a Saturday night meeting with Purdue Fort Wayne, which is slated for a 7 p.m. kickoff and is scheduled to be streamed on ESPN+.

The Raiders (3-5-1, 2-2-1 HL) are coming off of 2-1 loss last Saturday night at home against Robert Morris, while Fort Wayne (3-6-1, 1-3-0 HL) has lost two in a row and has just one win at home to date this season.

Zion Beaton leads Wright State with three goals this season, while Joe Kouadio and Conner Osterhoilt each have a pair of goals. The Raiders have six players with double-digit shots this season, paced by 20 attempts from Beaton and 19 from Presten Manthey, followed by Osterholt with 18 shots. Manthey has added a team-leading three assists, while Ids Hannema and Reece Allbaugh both have two assists.

Fort Wayne has just eight goals on the season, led by three goals from Keith Larson, whose 22 total shots also lead the team to date. Alejandro Lopez has tallied two goals on 16 shots, both second on the roster. The Mastodons have played three goalkeepers, with the trio combining for 33 saves against 13 goals allowed through 10 contests.

Fort Wayne finished its first season in the Horizon League with a 3-6 overall record, with all matches coming in HL action. The Raiders handed the Mastodons a 2-1 loss on the final day of the regular season in Fort Wayne back on April 5.
