
Track & Field opens outdoor season Saturday at Blizzard Buster

The Wright State women's track and field team will start the outdoor season at the Blizzard Buster hosted by Miami (OH) in Oxford, on Saturday.
The Blizzard Buster is a closed meet, therefore spectators will not be allowed at the event. Â A full list of events and start times can be found here.Â
The Raiders welcome a number of key returners including seniors Cameron Campbell, Kayle Willis, Morgan Miller, and Tiffany Ward.
During the 2019 season, Campbell run a season best in the 100 meter with a time of 12.61 and 200 meter 25.79. The Springboro-native tallied personal bests in the 400 meter with a time of 1:00.89, and in the 4x100 relay and 4x400 relay with times of 48.66 and 4:20.22. Willis tallied a season best in the 100 meter with a time of 13.63, 100 meter hurdles with a time of 13.63. She also recorded a season best in both the 400 meter hurdles and 4x100 relay with her times of 1:09.06 and 51.69. Ward saw personal bests in the 1500 meters with her time of 5:07.85, as well as in the 5000 meter run (18:31.35), and the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 11:55.66.
Miller last competed in the 2018 outdoor season that saw her record season bests in the 200 meter with a time of 30.2, as well as in the high jump (1.42m). She also tallied a personal best in the long jump with a jump of 4.56 meters.
Saturday will be the first outdoor meet for the Raiders ahead of the 2021 Horizon League Outdoor Track & Field Championships, slated for May 7-9 in Youngstown.Â
