
Raiders compete at Blizzard Buster

The Wright State track and field team kicked off the 2021 outdoor season at the Blizzard Buster hosted by Miami (OH) Saturday in Oxford, paced by three top-five finishes by the Raiders.
Callista Hess paced Wright State with her third-place finish in the triple jump with her jump of 10.05 meters, Shelby Nolan turned in a fifth-place finish for the Raiders with her time of 4:36.54 in the 1500 meters, while Wright State also tallied a fifth-place finish the in 4x800 meter relay with a time of 9:54.84.
Cameron Campbell paced Wright State with her 13th place (12.63) finish in the 100 meters, while Jayla Tarver finished 23rd (13.11), Emma Carr finished 31st (14.07), and Morgan Miller also competed for the Raiders (32nd, 14.11).
In the 200 meters, Campbell finished 16th (26.73) while Carr and Miller finished in 28th and 29th with their times of 29.80 and 30.10 respectively. In the 400 meters, Emily Maclean turned in a 23rd place finish with a time of 1:21.32. Kaitlyn Miller and Alycea Ruhlen competed in the 800 meters, turning in times of 2:29.14 and 2:29.42 finishing in 23rd and 25th place.
Following Nolan's fifth-place finish in the 1500 meters, Lauren Shuman finished 20th (4:54.30) and Alicia Neumeier finished 21st (4:55.33).
The Raiders tallied a top ten finish in the 3000 meters as Abigail Halsey finished ninth with her time of 10:19.27 and Emma Shigley finished in 12th with her time of 10:37.57. Emma Johnson and Tiffany Ward both also competed for Wright State finishing 22nd (11:32.96) and 23rd (11:48.69).
Wright State tallied a top 20 finish in the 100-meter hurdles, as Kayle Willis finished 19th with her time of  17.18. Melissa Siler finished 22nd (19.08) and Emily Maclean finished 25th (20.88). In the 400 meter hurdles, Kayle Willis tallied another top ten finish for Wright State with her time of 1:13.05 (11th).
Melissa Siler finished 11th in the high jump with her jump of 1.48 meters, while in the long jump Tatiana Brown finished 11th with her jump of 4.47 meters and Callista Hess finished 15th (4.16m). Â
The Raiders now get set for the Yellow Jacket Open hosted by Cederville University on March 27.
