The Wright State women's soccer team welcomes the Oakland Golden Grizzlies to Alumni Field for a Wednesday evening matchup. Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m.

Wright State – The Raiders are coming off a dominating 4-0 victory over Horizon League newcomer Robert Morris on Thursday. Lauren Borchert and Josie Krupp each recorded a brace for Wright State over the Colonials, while Jessika Seward recorded her first career shutout. Borchert connected on a pass from Olga Massombo in the 31st minute for her second goal of the season. Josie Krupp netted her first goal of the contest as she connected on a pass from Maddie Mitchell in the 68th minute, giving the visitors a 2-0 advantage. Krupp continued the scoring efforts for the Raiders when the junior's 85th-minute goal gave Wright State the advantage with five minutes left to play. Borchert's goal in the 87th minute gave Wright State a 4-0 advantage and marked the freshman's third goal in two games and her first career brace.
Oakland – The Golden Grizzlies are coming off a 2-1 victory over Green Bay on March 17. Sami Lopez added her sixth assist on the year after dishing it off to Hollie Clement who launched her first goal of the year from the top of the box to the lower right corner of the net to give the Golden Grizzlies a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. In the 57th minute, Green Bay took advantage of a penalty kick, tying things up at 1-1. Alex Sabbagh recorded her third goal of the season, the game-winner with under a minute to play in the contest.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN GRIZZLIES
- Carmela Barro, Sami Lopez, Ashley Postma, and Alexa Sabbagh mark the only four student-athletes from one team to rank in the top 10 in the Horizon League with two or more assists. Lopez and Postma have tallied a league-best five assists on the year while Barro and Sabbagh have recorded two.
- Oakland was picked to finish fifth in the 2021 Horizon League women's soccer preseason poll. The Golden Grizzlies finished in sixth place a season ago with a 7-8-3 record, 4-3-2 in Horizon League play. Oakland made it all the way to the semifinals of the Horizon League Championship for the second-straight season before bowing out of the tournament after a 2-1 loss to no. 1 seed and tournament champion, Milwaukee.
- The Golden Grizzlies netted 21 goals in 2019, a vast improvement from 2018 where Oakland scored 10 goals. It is the most goals Oakland has recorded since the 2016 season, led by Alexa Sabbagh who tallied seven on the year.
