Women's Soccer heads north for Thursday tilt at Green Bay

DAYTON – The Wright State women's soccer team makes its second long trip in as many weeks as the Raiders make the trek up to Green Bay to take on the Phoenix Thursday night.

The Raiders (2-5-2, 0-1-1 HL) are coming off of a 1-1 double overtime draw at home Sunday afternoon against Youngstown State. Josie Krupp tied the game late in the 82nd minute to force the extra time, while keeper Jessika Seward finished with seven saves. Destiny Johnson's three goals leads the Raider offense, while Olga Massombo has added two goals of her own. Johnson's six points and 18 shots pace the Raiders as well.
Green Bay (3-1-2, 0-1-1 HL) is coming off a 6-0 road loss to Oakland on Sunday afternoon, but enters the match 2-0-2 at home this season. McKayla Kertscher leads the Phoenix with four goals and 10 points, while Emily Murphy's 14 total shots paces the offensive attack. Annie Mason has started five of six matches this season, having allowed seven goals against 11 saves.
Green Bay tallied a 1-4-1 overall and conference record during the shortened spring season. The Phoenix and Raiders last met on October 6, 2019, with Wright State tallying a 1-0 victory on the road.
