Raider men post seven PR’s at Bradley Pink Classic

PEORIA, Ill. — The Wright State men's cross country team finished 27th overall at the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday afternoon at Newman Golf Course.
Seven Raiders posted personal-record times in the men's 8,000-meter run, which included four sub-26:00 marks.
Alex McCarty led the pack in 68th place out of 289 competitors with a PR time of 24:35.8, good for the third-fastest mark in school history. Max Pettit finished close behind in 72nd place at 24:37.8, which was a PR for the senior and fourth in the Raider 8K record list.
Patrick Statzer (198, 25:49.6), Tayton Hess (212, 25:57.2), Ethan Neblock (242, 26:20.9), and Alan Fullenkamp (267, 27:21.7) raced to PRs, while Ryan Cooper (244, 26:24.5) and Nathan Sheriff (268, 27:22.0) also represented the Raiders.
Wright State will return to competition Saturday, October 29, at the Horizon League Championships hosted by Oakland. The meet will take place at the Oakland Cross Country Course, starting with the women's 6K at 11 a.m., followed by the men's 8K at noon.
