SERIES VS. THE JAGUARS
The Raiders topped the Jaguars twice in 2022 and now lead the all-time series 14-8. Wright State has won 10 straight meetings dating back to the 2018 campaign.
HISTORY AGAINST THE 'DONS
The Raiders grabbed a pair of three-set sweeps last season and now lead the all-time series 15-10. Wright State has won seven straight meetings dating back to a non-conference meeting in 2015 before Purdue Fort Wayne joined the Horizon.
KNOW THE FOES
- IUPUI enters the weekend on a two-match winning streak and is currently 8-10 overall with a 2-5 mark in the Horizon. The Jaguars gabbed a three-set win over Robert Morris before a five set victory over Youngstown State last week for their first wins of October. IUPUI is 5-3 at home but just 1-5 away from home to date, adding a 2-2 record in neutral site matches early in the non-conference.
- Purdue Fort Wayne begins the weekend at 7-12 overall with a 2-5 mark in Horizon League action. Purdue Fort Wayne has tallied five of its seven wins away from home, with a 3-4 mark in true road contests and a 2-3 mark in neutral matches.Â
DEFEND McLIN
Since the start of the 2018 season, Wright State is 52-10 overall in home matches inside McLin Gymnasium after a 21-60 home mark (and just 54 total victories, home or otherwise) from 2011-2016.Â
FIFTH YEAR FAVES
Graduate students Megan Alders and Callie Martin sit atop nearly all of Wright State's offensive categories, including kills (Alders 229, Martin 200), kills per set (Alders 3.32, Martin 2.94). The pair also pace the Raiders in total points and points per set while having logged the most attack attempts on the roster.
A THOUSAND HELPERS
Katie Meyer reached the 1,000 career assist mark on October 7 at Milwaukee with a 43-assist effort. Meyer recorded a combined 152 helpers over her first three seasons (2019-21) before passing out 371 assists in 2022. She has 507 assists and counting this season, passing out helpers at a 9.57 assists/set clip.
CALLIE IT
Callie Martin enters the weekend with eight double-doubles on the season, including four straight matches and six of the last seven matches overall. She's recorded 10-plus kills 11 times and has had 10-plus digs in 12 matches overall. She had 12 double-doubles in 2022 and recorded double-digit digs in 26 of her 32 matches last year, including matching her career-best with 23 digs in Wright State's Sept. 17 four-set win over Dayton, while she tallied 10-plus kills in 14 matches a season ago.
ALL(DERS) KILLS
Megan Alders begins the weekend with 229 kills, less than 100 kills shy of her single season high mark for kills (306) that she set last season. Alders has recorded 200-plus kills three times in her career, with all coming the last three seasons (270 in 2021 and 306 in 2021) after barely missing the mark as a freshman with 197 kills.
