Raiders set for Wild Bill Invite on home course

DAYTON — The Wright State cross country teams will host the Wild Bill Invite for its last regular season meet on Friday at Fairborn Community Park.Â
The women's 6,000-meter run will kick off the meet at 4 p.m., while the men's 8K race will follow at 4:45 p.m. Admission will be free for all spectators.Â
Both courses are relatively flat and fast with all grass footing. Click here to view the 6K course, which features three 2K loops. Click here to view the 8K course, which features four 2K loops.Â
Wright State will race against Dayton, Purdue Fort Wayne, and Otterbein on its home course.Â
Both squads are coming off strong showing at last weekend's Falcon Invitational in Bowling Green, Ohio. The women's team took seventh out of nine programs, while the Raider men finished eighth overall. Alex McCarty led the Raiders in the men's 8,000-meter run with a 10th-place finish (25:15.13). Kaitlyn Miller headlined WSU in the women's 6,000-meter race, placing 11th out of 117 runners with a time of 21:59.93.
After the Wild Bill Invite, Wright State will remain home to host the Horizon League Cross Country Championship on October 28 at Fairborn Community Park.Â
