
Bowling opens weekend strong with first place showing

COLUMBUS – The Wright State bowling team grabbed first place in the Ohio Bowling Conference's Event 2 at Columbus Square Bowling Palace on Saturday in the Raiders first of two events on the weekend.

Wright State's total pinfall for the five regular games was 4,504 pins and the Raiders' 12 Baker game total pinfall was 2,347 pins, giving them a 6,851 total pinfall for the tournament. Â Mia Sayles (179.2 pinfall average) and Alli Shattuck (178.6 pinfall average) paced the Raiders, with both earning spots on the all-tournament team.

The Raiders continue weekend action on Sunday at the Orange & Black Classic, with action taking place at Poelking Lanes South in Dayton.
