CLEVELAND — The Wright State women's soccer program dropped its regular season road finale at Cleveland State by a final score of 3-1 on Saturday night at Krenzler Field.
The Raiders moved to 6-6-4 on the season and 4-3-2 in Horizon League play with one match left in the regular season. Cleveland State improved 4-10-3 overall and 1-6-3 against conference opponents.
Wright State finished the match with 11 total shots, five shots on goal, and five corner kicks.
Lauren Borchert tallied a team-leading three shots, highlighted by a penalty kick goal in the second half.

Caitlin Burger added shots on goal. Goalkeeper
Kiera Sarka totaled three saves compared to three goals allowed.
WSU was held to just three off-target shots in the opening 45 minutes. The Raiders top scoring opportunity transpired in the 23rd minute, with Helinski firing a strike off the top crossbar.
Wright State's back line limited Cleveland State to one shot on goal in the first half. However, CSU's lone shot on frame resulted in a goal, as Eric Leinweber found the back of the net in the 39th minute off a feed from Mayra Sesmas.
The Raiders came out of the break aggressively, tallying three shots on goal in the first 10 minutes of second-half action. Cleveland State committed a handball in the box at the 56-minute mark, which led to Borchert converting on a penalty kick for the equalizer.
Leinweber scored her second goal on a header in the 65th minute, putting CSU back in front 2-1. The Vikings extended their lead to 3-1 on a goal by Mayra Sesmas at the 71-minute mark.
Wright State was held scoreless for the remainder of the match, which sealed its third conference loss of the year.
The Raiders will conclude their regular season at home against Northern Kentucky on Wednesday, October 25. The conference contest will start at 7 p.m. and broadcast live on ESPN+.
