DYER, IN – The Wright State bowling team opened the weekend at the Valpo Bowling Classic with four wins in Friday's first day of action.

Saturday's action will feature five traditional matches, with three final matches on Sunday being a best-of-seven Baker matches.

The Raiders went 4-1 overall on Friday in their five Baker matches as they racked up 4,524 total pins over the course of the day. Wright State opened action with a win over North Central College (858-770) before a victory over (RV) Oklahoma Christian (903-887). The wins continued, with the Raiders grabbing back-to-back victories over No. 21 Lincoln Memorial (901-894) and Elmhurst (928-873) before Wright State fell in its final match of the day to host Valpo (934-959).

Saturday's traditional matches will see Wright State face off against (RV) Lewis, No. 20 Wisconsin-Whitewater, Aurora, Marian and Carroll.
