Bowling set to host Raider Classic this weekend

DAYTON – The Wright State women's bowling team will serve as tournament hosts this weekend with the Raider Classic at Poelking Woodman Lanes in Kettering on Saturday and Sunday.

Action gets underway on Saturday at 12:45 p.m. and runs through the afternoon before Sunday begins at 9:15 a.m., with competition going through the finals. On Saturday, teams will bowl five games of tenpin bowling before 16 games of Baker bowling on Sunday will end qualifying and set up the finals.

The Raiders will feature two squads at the event, with the 'Green' team consisting of Alex Drsek, Makenzie Gossett, Natalie Hanson, Rylie Jeanneret, Paige Patterson, Mia Sayles, Jasmine Schulze and Alli Shattuck. The 'Gold' group will feature Alina Stebbins, Abigail Derham, Emma Hatfield, Anna Johns, Kennedy Moore and Phoenix Perry.

This weekend's action is the first tournament play for Wright State since the Valpo Bowling Classic to end October, while the Raiders will bowl in the Ohio Bowling Conference Event 3 next week to wrap up the fall portion of their schedule. Wright State resumes action in mid-January at the Midwest Collegiate Classic in Illinois.
