Corder named HL Golfer of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS/DAYTON – Wright State's Cole Corder has been named the Horizon League Golfer of the Week, the League office announced on Thursday afternoon.

Corder finished tied for second individually this week as he helped Wright State to a third-place team finish at the Loyola Intercollegiate in Arizona.

Corder recorded four birdies, including three in his first eight holes, on the way to his one-under 71 in Sunday's opening round before he birdied five of his first nine holes in the second round on his way to seven total birdies and just one bogey, which came on the 15th hole, to which he immediately answered with a birdie on the par three 16th to finish six-under for the day with his 66. Corder notched a hole-in-one on the par three eighth hole to go along with six final round birdies on his way to a Tuesday two-under final round 70 to finish nine-under overall in the tie for second.

Wright State is back in action March 9-11 at the Sea Palms Invitational in St. Simons Island, Georgia, a tournament the Raiders head to as the defending champions as three players finished inside the top 15 individually last spring.
