Noel named to pair of national watch lists

DAYTON – Wright State forward Brandon Noel has been named to a pair of national watch lists, being honored as one of 50 players on the 2024-25 Lou Henson 'Early Season' Watch List as well as being one of 68 players named to Bracketeer.Org's 2025 Non-Power Conference All-American Watch List.
The Lou Henson Award is presented annually to the top player in mid-major college basketball. Players on teams from the following conferences are eligible for the award: America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Great West, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt, West Coast. Bracketeer's All-American Watch List for the Non-Power Conferences recognizes the college basketball season's most outstanding players regardless of position. Players on teams from the following conferences are eligible for the award: America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Conference USA, Horizon League, Ivy League, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot League, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt, WAC. Through eight games, Noel is averaging 20.8 points per game with an 8.5 rebounds per game average while shooting 55 percent overall. He has added a 30 percent shooting clip from three-point range and is connecting at 84 percent from the free throw line while averaging 32 minutes per contest and adding 13 blocks and 10 steals to his season totals. He is second in the Horizon League in scoring and fourth in the HL in rebounding, while his shooting percentage is third in the League.
Noel and Wright State return to action on Saturday at home inside the Nutter Center against Air Force in the Stars, Stripes and Flight Classic.
