Bowlers head to Columbus for Saturday competition

DAYTON – The Wright State bowling team returns to the lanes on Saturday as the Raiders make the short trip to Columbus and Ohio Bowling Conference Event 5 at Columbus Square Bowling Palace.

Action begins at 10 a.m. and features five five-person team games and 12 Baker games.

The Raiders will feature two squads at the event, with the 'Green' team consisting of Alex Drsek, Makenzie Gossett, Emma Hatfield, Rylie Jeanneret, Mia Sayles, Jasmine Schulze, Allison Shattuck and Alina Stebbins. The 'Gold' group will feature Abby Derham, Anna Johns, Natalie Hanson, Kennedy Moore, Paige Patterson and Phoenix Perry.Â

Competing teams on Saturday joining the Raiders include Akron, Baldwin Wallace, Kent State, Muskingum, Mount Vernon Nazarene, Northern Kentucky, Ohio Northern, Ohio State, Rio Grande, Robert Morris, Shawnee State, Tiffin, UNOH, Ursuline, Walsh, Wittenberg and Youngstown State.

Wright State is coming off an eighth-place finish out of a deep field at the Flyer Classic in suburban Chicago last weekend, the Raiders' second straight top 10 finish in loaded tournaments.Â
