HORIZON LEAGUE REILLY
Reilly Zegunis was named Horizon League Player of the Week on Sept. 30 after she recorded 30 kills and had a .510 hitting percentage in a pair of Raider road wins at IU Indy. Zegunis averaged 3.75 kills per set to go along with the .510 hitting percentage, leading all attackers in the Horizon League attackers in hitting efficiency over the weekend.Â
STARTING THE HORIZON
After the win at IU Indy last Friday, Wright State has now won its Horizon League-opening match in five of the last six seasons, dating back to 2019, with the lone blemish a five-set loss against Northern Kentucky to begin the 2021 HL slate. Over the same five-plus year stretch, the Raiders have a pair of undefeated Horizon League seasons (Spring 2021, Fall 2022).
KNOW THE FOE
- Northern Kentucky is 5-8 overall to date and 1-1 in the HL play after splitting a pair of matches at Cleveland State last weekend to open Horizon League action. NKU is 3-2 at home so far but just a combined 2-6 in road and neutral site matches (1-3 in both).
DEFEND McLIN
Since the start of the 2018 season, Wright State is 61-12 overall in home matches inside McLin Gymnasium after a 21-60 home mark (and just 54 total victories, home or otherwise) from 2011-2016.
