INDIANAPOLIS/DAYTON – Wright State guard
Michael Cooper has been named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week, the League office announced on Monday.
Cooper opened his collegiate career with a pair of starts and double-digit scoring performances last week, including a team-high 17 points on the road against Power opponent Cal on Thursday night. Through two contests, Cooper's 13.5 points per game average leads Wright State, as does his shot attempts and makes (11-of-26) and his three-point numbers (4-of-12), while the guard has also grabbed 10 rebounds and passed out six assists. In his debut against Franklin, tallied 10 points and six rebounds in 26 minutes of action as he added a pair of assists and a steal without a turnover. He then played 31 minutes at Cal as he added four rebounds and four assists to his 17-point effort on the West Coast.
Wright State returns to action back inside the Nutter Center on Tuesday night when the Raiders host Toledo in a 7 p.m. tipoff. Fans can follow the action several ways –
