Ochs named Horizon League Golfer of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS/DAYTON – Wright State's Shane Ochs has been named the Horizon League Golfer of the Week, the League office announced on Thursday afternoon.

Ochs paced Wright State with a four-over showing at the Seahawk Intercollegiate earlier this week, finishing 23rd in the strong field. He notched a one-over 72 in his final round Tuesday, finishing with a pair of birdies and three bogeys while moving two spots up the final leaderboard after his two Monday rounds, opening action with a one-over first round 72 that featured three birdies and a pair of bogeys before a second round two-over 73 with three birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey.

Ochs and Wright State are back in action with The Jewell from April 7-9 in Batavia before the Raiders host the Wright State Invitational at Heatherwoode Golf Club April 13-14. The Horizon League Championship takes place April 19-21 in Florida.
