Hollenbeck named final HL Golfer of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS/DAYTON – Wright State's Timmy Hollenbeck has been named the final Horizon League Golfer of the Week for the regular season, the League office announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Hollenbeck captured the individual title at this week's Wright State Invitational as he helped the Raiders win the team title at the event for the fifth straight season, finishing 12-under overall on he way to the individual win. The individual leader after both the first and second rounds, Hollenbeck opened with a five-under first round 66 to lead after 18 holes and followed that up with a four-under 67 to be at nine-under heading into the final round, carding three eagles and seven birdies over his 36 holes Sunday. Hollenbeck wrapped up the win with a three-under 68 on Monday with four birdies to grab the title.

The Raiders are now set to head to the Horizon League Championship this weekend in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida after back-to-back team titles. Wright State enters the tournament as the defending HL champions, while Andrew Flynn is the defending individual champion after he bested Hollenbeck on the second playoff hole last April. First round action gets underway on Saturday, with 18 holes daily and the final round coming on Monday.
