INDIANAPOLIS/FAIRBORN- Wright State senior Cierra Lively has earned the #HLTF Alfreeda Goff Outdoor Athlete of the Year as announced by the Horizon League on Thursday.
Lively leads the Horizon League with a 1.8 meter/5 ft 10.75-inch jump at the Otterbein Twilight and has cleared 1.7 meters on three different occasions. Her 1.8-meter clearance is one of the top times in the NCAA East Region this outdoor season. Lively has found the podium in all six of her meets including five outright victories. She's been named the Horizon League Field Athlete of the Week twice this season.
She becomes the second Raider to win the Goff Outdoor Athlete of the Year, joining Kylie Kopp who took home the award in 2014.
The senior will look to defend her 2024 Horizon League high jump title at the conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships this weekend. The action starts on Friday on the campus of Youngstown State University.
