SARKA SHINES
Wright State keeper Kiera Sarka tied a career-high with 14 saves in Thursday night's season-opening 2-0 loss as she faced 35 shots, 17 on frame. The 14 saves matched her previous high mark from September 3, 2023, also against Dayton at Alumni Field.
LAST SEASON REWIND
Wright State finished the 2024 season with a 5-10-2 overall record and a 3-5-2 mark in Horizon League play. The Raiders were 3-2-2 at home at Alumni Field, including a 2-0-1 mark at home down the stretch last fall to close the campaign.
ALL-CONFERENCE TALENT
Wright State returns a pair of All-Horizon League selections from last season after Elise Canter earned 2024 All-League Second Team honors and Olivia Stroud was named to the All-Freshman Team. Canter collected All-League honors for the second time in her collegiate career after also being named to the All-Freshman Team in 2022. The midfielder was only one of three Raiders to appear and start in all 17 games, logging over 1000 minutes of play. Stroud played in all 17 contests for the Raiders last season with 14 starting nods, including all starting all 10 HL contests. The forward led the team and sits in the top 10 league marks in goals (T-9th, 5) and game-winning goals (T-6th, 2). She also led the 2024 Raiders with 12 points and had the second most shots on goal (14).
