LOUISVILLE, KY- The Wright State women's soccer team fell 2-7 Sunday evening on the road against the Louisville Cardinals.

Wright State (1-2) will return to Alumni Field on Wednesday to face off against Marshall, with first touch set for 7 p.m. Fans can follow Thursday's action via live stats and can

Louisville came out of the gates firing scoring the first six goals of the match to jump out to a commanding lead.

The Raiders would get their first goal in the 29
th minute when
Samara Nunn would bring the ball up on the right wing and play it to
Alea Cook just outside the 18-yard box. Cook settled the ball and sent a right-footed strike past the Louisville goalkeeper into the back of the net. The goal was the freshman's first of her collegiate career.

The next goal in the match wouldn't come until the 58
th minute when a penalty kick was awarded to WSU.
Caitlin Burger would take the penalty kick and bury it into the back of the net.

Louisville would add one more goal of insurance to extend their lead back to five goals.
