th minute goal would prove to be the winner Sunday afternoon at Alumni Field as the Wright State women's soccer team shuts out Chicago State 1-0.

Wright State (2-5) will wrap up the non-conference portion of their 2025 campaign on the road Thursday evening at Central Michigan. Kick off in Mount Pleasant is set for 4 p.m.

The two sides would exchange attacking opportunities in the first 45 minutes but neither side was able to break open the stalemate going into the halftime break.

Burger would score the game winning goal for the Raiders just after halftime in the 46
th minute. The midfielder took the ball from one of the Chicago State players, dribble the ball into space, and send a right-footed strike past the outstretched goalkeeper.

Freshman goalkeeper, Laigha Lauer, got the start in net for Wright State and recorded three saves en route to the first shutout of her career in just her second start.

In the box score, Wright State led Chicago State in shots (15-6), shots on goal (9-3), and corner kick opportunities (7-6). Defenders Kaitlyn Eynik and
