LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Wright State cross country teams competed at the Louisville Cross Country Classic on Saturday, October 3, at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park. The Raider women placed third in the Women's Blue 6K race, while the men finished 12th in the Men's Gold 8K race.

Women's 6K
Senior Elle Lambert and senior Sydney Thompson earned top-10 finishes to lead Wright State to third among 24 scoring teams. The Raiders averaged 23:23.44 across their five scoring runners.
Lambert led Wright State with a sixth-place finish crossing the line in 22:35.8, gaining two positions over the final stretch after passing the final checkpoint in eighth. Thompson joined her in the top 10, placing ninth in 22:59.7.
Junior Samantha Seas gave the Raiders three finishers in the top-20, crossing the line in 23:23.5 for 20th. Sophomore Luci Kuh placed 37th in 23:56.6, and junior Alexa Magoteaux completed the scoring five in 43rd with a time of 24:01.6. Wright State's top five finished within 1:25.8 of one another.

Men's recap
Junior Evan McPherson led Wright State to 12th among 24 scoring teams in the Men's Gold 8K race. The Raiders finished just four points behind 11th-place Duquesne and 34 ahead of Xavier, with a five-runner average of 25:19.28.
McPherson finished 41st overall in 24:53.9. Freshman Jagger Dollenmeyer followed in 68th with a time of 25:17.3, steadily advancing through the field. Dollenmeyer moved from 118th at the 2.1-kilometer checkpoint to 96th at 3.9 kilometers and 77th at six kilometers before gaining another nine positions by the finish.
Senior Kalib Tolle placed 74th in 25:22.1, moving up 11 spots over the final two kilometers. Junior Michael Gale finished 80th in 25:25.4, and junior Ian Ricker rounded out Wright State's scoring five in 98th at 25:37.7. All five Raider scorers finished inside the top 100, separated by just 43.8 seconds.

The runnin' Raiders will take a week off before heading up I-75 to Bowling Green on Friday, October 13th, taking part in the Falcon Invitational.
