KNOW THE FOE
The Vikings enter the weekend at 3-10 on the season, and 0-2 in Horizon League play. Cleveland State opened conference play with a pair of losses at Purdue last weekend, falling 3-2 on Friday and 3-1 on Saturday. Saturday will mark the 90th all-time meeting between Wright State and Cleveland State, a series the Raiders lead 49-37. Wright State picked up a pair of four-set wins when Cleveland State came to McLin Gym a season ago.

HORIZON LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Wright State sophomore libero Taygan Corstange has been named the Horizon League Player of the Week following her standout performance this weekend against Oakland and Cleveland State.

Corstange anchored the Raiders at Libero this weekend as they picked up sweeps against Oakland and Cleveland State. The sophomore played all six sets for the Raiders, leading the team with 34 digs. Her 5.67 digs per set not only led the team but also led the Horizon League. Corstange was a key contributor for the Raiders defensively as they held opponents to hitting just .066 on the weekend and just 9.83 kills per set.

This is the first weekly honor of the season for Corstange, joining seniors Mya Ayro (August 31) and Lauren Yacobucci (September 28).

DEFENDING THE HORIZON
Wright State was picked first in the Horizon League's preseason poll, tallying 117 points. The Raiders have been selected at the top of the preseason poll in six of the last seven seasons dating back to the COVID-altered Spring 2021 campaign.

ALL-LEAGUE RETURNEES
The reigning Horizon League champions return four All-League award winners from a season ago, led by a pair of first teamers in Lauren Yacobucci and Reilly Zegunis. Returning alongside Yacobucci and Zegunis are a pair of All-League Second Team selections in Mya Ayro and Katie Sowko. This marked the second-straight first-team honors for Yacobucci and Zegunis, while Sowko adds the second-team recognition to her All-Freshman nod from a season ago.

IN CASE YOU FORGOT…
Wright State finished 2025 with a 21-11 overall record en route to its fifth NCAA tournament appearance in the last seven seasons. The Raiders have five Horizon League regular-season titles in that span, adding HL tournament titles to their resumes in 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2025 for automatic bids to the NCAA Tournament, along with their 2019 at-large selection. The five NCAA appearances in the last seven seasons are the only tourney appearances in program history.

SIZING UP THE 2026 SQUAD
Wright State welcomes four newcomers – including three freshmen – to this season's roster. The Raiders' 16-player roster includes three freshmen, five sophomores, three juniors, four seniors, and one graduate student.

UP NEXT
Following this weekend, the Raiders will take the short trip west over to Indianapolis to face off against IU Indy. The Raiders will get the weekend started at 6 p.m. on Friday and wrap up the two-game set at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

RISING RAIDERS
Rising Raiders provides free admission to Wright State home events for students currently enrolled in 12th grade or younger, making it easier for families across the Dayton region to experience Raider Athletics together. It's our way of opening the doors to the next generation and giving young fans the opportunity to discover Wright State, build memories, and become Raiders themselves.
