
Bowlers wrap up action at Columbia 300 Saints Invite

SHREWSBURY, MO – The Wright State bowling team dropped its first two bracket matches on Sunday but responded to close the weekend with a win at the Columbia 300 Saints Invite to finish seventh in the 16-team field.

Wright State opened best-of-seven Baker action with a five-game loss to Nebraska before falling in seven games to McKendree. The Raiders went the distance in the finale, battling Maryville in seven games and fighting back to win the final two games to capture the victory.

The Raiders finished action with a 9-4 record, tallying wins against No. 4 Nebraska, No. 6 Wichita State and No. 10 Maryville over the course of the weekend.

Wright State tallied a total weekend pinfall of 13,890 and had a game average of 201.3. Rylie Jeanneret led the Raiders in 13th individually with a total pinfall of 1,113 and a 222.6 average, followed by Jasmine Schulze in 20th with her 1,065 total pinfall and 213.0 average.

Wright State is back in action next weekend at the Flyer Classic in Illinois, with bowling getting underway Friday and rolling through Sunday afternoon.
