Ochs named Horizon League Golfer of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS/DAYTON – Wright State's Shane Ochs has been named the Horizon League Golfer of the Week, the League office announced on Thursday afternoon.

Ochs captured the individual title at Lake Jovita Invitational as Wright State opened its spring schedule in Florida. The senior was nearly flawless in the final round on Tuesday, recording seven birdies with just one bogey on the way to a six-under 66. Ochs began the final 18 holes two shots back of the 36-hole individual leader following a two-under opening round 70 with six birdies and a second round five-under 67 that featured three eagles and five more birdies on Monday.

Ochs and Wright State are back in action next week in Texas, traveling to Laredo for the Border Olympics on February 16 and 17.
