2/22/2026 5:30:00 PM | Men's Basketball
DAYTON – The Wright State men's basketball team battled all afternoon, but the Raiders were unable to come up on the right side of the scoreboard in an 81-68 Senior Day loss to Robert Morris.
Â
Wright State (18-11, 13-5 Horizon), who had already clinched a share of the Horizon League regular season championship, needs one win in its last two games this upcoming week to secure the outright regular season title.
Â
Following Sunday's game, Wright State celebrated the careers of four players: Sam Alamutu, Michael Imariagbe, Bryan Etumnu and Logan Woods.
Â
Next up for the Raiders is a 7 p.m. Wednesday night contest at Purdue Fort Wayne. Fans can follow the all of Wednesday's action several ways – on ESPN+, via live stats or by tuning in to the Wright State Radio Network – 101.5 FM 'The Fridge' and WING 1410 AM. Chris Collins and Jim Brown will have all the play-by-play action on the radio feed.
Â
On Sunday, Robert Morris (19-10, 11-7 Horizon) scored 12 of the first 20 points to grab a lead it would never relinquish, with the Raiders clawing throughout the opening 20 minutes to get back to as close as a point before the visitors took a 39-29 lead into the break. After the half, Wright State used a 10-5 run to get the margin back to single digits and later tallied nine straight points to get the deficit to five points with over seven minutes remaining. But Robert Morris always had an answer, using a late 8-2 run to pull away in the final minutes.
Â
Michael Cooper scored 16 of his team-high 19 points in the second half, while TJ Burch finished with 11 points and Andrea Holden added 10 points as the final Raider in double figures. Michael Imariagbe pulled down seven rebounds to go with six points as Solomon Callaghan and Dominic Pangonis each chipped in five points.
Â
Wright State shot 38 percent in the opening half before settling for a 44 percent overall shooting afternoon (24-of-55) while connecting on 5-of-16 from three-point range (31 percent) and going 15-of-17 (88 percent) at the free throw line. Robert Morris finished the afternoon shooting 53 percent (29-of-55) with seven three-pointers (7-16, 44 percent) while going 16-of-17 (94 percent) at the free throw line.
Â
Four Robert Morris players had double figure scoring games as the group combined for all but nine points, led by Darius Livingston's game-high 24 points.
