PITTSBURGH, PA – The Wright State volleyball team continued play at the Panther Invitational with a three-set loss to Jacksonville on Saturday afternoon inside Victory Heights Arena while Lauren Yacobucci recorded her 3,000th career assist.

Wright State (4-4) will wrap up the weekend tomorrow afternoon against Pitt. First serve is slated for 1 p.m., and fans can catch all the action on ACCNX.

The Raiders battled throughout the afternoon, but Jacksonville pulled out victories in all three sets by scores of 26-24, 28-26 and 25-22.

Wright State pushed Jacksonville to the limit in each of the opening two sets. The Raiders erased a four-point deficit late in the first set and tied the score at 24-24 before the Dolphins recorded the final two points. The second set featured 13 ties and eight lead changes as Wright State rallied from a 20-17 deficit to take a late 24-23 lead, but Jacksonville answered and eventually secured the set in extra points.

The Raiders carried the battle into the third set and held a 17-13 advantage midway through the frame. Jacksonville responded with a 9-3 run to move in front and held off Wright State down the stretch to complete the sweep.

Wright State finished the match with 43 kills, 41 assists, 74 digs and nine service aces. The Raiders hit .207 as a team, while Jacksonville connected at a .340 clip and recorded 48 kills.

Reilly Zegunis led Wright State with 11 kills. Haley Robinson turned in 10 kills while hitting .714 without an attacking error, and Katie Sowko added eight kills, 18 digs and three service aces. Ella Seeger chipped in eight kills, while Abbey Knight recorded four kills.

Yacobucci passed out 35 assists and added nine digs, becoming the latest Raider to reach 3,000 career assists. Taygan Corstange anchored the back line with a match-high 24 digs, while Greta McKee collected 12 digs as Wright State placed three players in double figures defensively.

Abbie Tuyo paced Jacksonville with 14 kills, while Jaylyn Tuiasosopo and Claire Mrukowski each added 12 kills. Emersen Strain directed the Dolphins' offense with 43 assists in the victory
